Recurrence

Last night, it was my second time to be in the Emergency Room. Together with my aunts and an older cousin, I brought my younger cousin who was suffering from a stomach pain. One thing I dreaded the most in the E.R. is when I see blood. Heaven’s still good to me for that night, no blood was dripping. It took us one and a half hours to wait for the laboratory results, only to see the prescription – Buscopan, a stomach pain reliever.

Dearest M.M.,
Today, I went to the place where we shared our laughs and delight. Every step I made reminded me of every inch you walked by my side. Every scenery I saw reminded me of our images together.
Memories, memories, spare me the nostalgia. It’s been five days since our last touch and every moment I long for the next. You occur in my dreams. My stories speak so much about you. Your presence without a scent still smells within me. Your soul embodies my spirit. When will your skin touch mine again? Even in my dreams, your presence I’ll greatly acknowledge, just to see your face again.
